This page explains how to request deletion of your GenStars account and the personal data associated with it. It applies to accounts created on the GenStars website, iOS app, or Android app — you can request deletion here even if you have uninstalled the app.
How to delete your account
- Log in to your GenStars account, using the same email address or sign-in method you use in the app. You can also do this in the app under Settings → Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion using the button below. You will be asked to type your username to confirm.
- Your account is deleted immediately. You are signed out, your sign-in identity is removed, and any active subscription is cancelled. If you are taking part in a competition or showcase that is still running, your name and entries remain visible there until it finishes (or 30 days at most), after which they are anonymised along with the rest of your profile. Records we are legally required to keep are retained as described below.
Can't log in? Email support@genstars.tvfrom the email address registered to your account with the subject “Account deletion request”, and we will process it the same way.
If you are currently running an active competition as its creator, we may need to wait until that competition concludes or is cancelled before your account can be deleted. We will let you know if this applies to you.
What is deleted and what is kept
